Vocational Training

Aside from awarding scholarships to students, HCGOF sponsors the vocational training of its host community. Indeed, this is in keeping with late Mrs. Ngozi Okonu’s dream of ensuring that people around her acquired best-in-niche skills. Over the years, we have paid the tuitions of these young people, taking away the financial burdens from their parents.
Consequently, many people have graduated from our vocational training initiative to become breadwinners and raise their families.
Upon graduation, we assist those with excellent (academic) performance with grants to set up their businesses. Alternatively, because we maintain a list of beneficiaries of this program, HCGOF links them to companies that require their services, thus reducing teeming youth unemployment.
